New HMLP Partnership Helps Hingham Residents Explore Solar Options with Ease and Transparency
The Hingham Municipal Lighting Plant (HMLP) has launched a new partnership with Boston-based company EnergySage that will give Hingham residents access to online tools and resources for making informed decisions about clean energy technologies.
2023 RodE&O Conference & Expo
The rodeo is designed to enhance skills and job knowledge, foster stronger working relationships, encourage teamwork, and provide a better understanding of utility work for families and other attendees. The event is scheduled to take place from May 9, 2023 at 7:30 am – May 11, 2023 at 11:15 am EDT.
Tree Trimming
Hingham Light has hired Pathfinder Tree to conduct tree trimming that will reduce outages. Please be aware that they will be starting work on March 9, 2023.
2023 Cost of Service Study

Hingham Municipal Lighting Plant Installs FLO EV Chargers
Hingham Municipal Lighting Plant (HMLP) announced it has installed EV charging stations from FLO, a leading North American EV charging network operator and smart charging solutions provider. The collaboration will bring charging solutions to the historic town of nearly 25,000, thanks to a state grant.
Electrify Hingham
Through the Electrify Hingham program, customers can find information on resources to support the transition away from fossil fuels. HMLP offers incentives for solar, heat pumps, electric vehicles, weatherization, and more, so check it out now!
HEIRP Community Open House
On October 12, 2022 from 7 PM to 9 PM, HMLP is holding a community-wide, virtual open house on Zoom to seek feedback from residents and businesses in Hingham and Weymouth about the planned Hingham Electrical Infrastructure Reliability Project (HEIRP).
HMLP Triples Heat Pump Incentives
Residential & commercial customers can now get up to $6,000 from HMLP to try heating and cooling their buildings with heat pumps! Check out the program, get connected with Abode Energy, and make sure to fulfill all necessary requirements before installation.
Climate Action Plan Public Meeting
